Howdy fellow community members,
I am new to the community and glad to be here! I purchased a Dell Optiplex 3020 offline from a fellow engineer via Ebay. But since I have had it, I have not been able to use it for any purpose! It's only asking for Ethernet connection, which I don't have. I have been trying to get Wi_fi on the system in the settings. I have not been successful at all with getting the network adapter on the system. I am not too experienced software programming, but I am in the 3rd Quarter with Strayer University. So, I definitely need a little help if possible!!!!

My concern is that this model came in standard with a lan card, the card for wireless was optional at extra cost, I suggest you check what hardware you have, and if you do not have wireless interface, I think most wireless routers have 1-2 lan slots included...

You can easily set up a wifi-to-ethernet adapter and move on to other tasks.
You might even have luck to wifi-to-usb, not sure about your hardware, but adapters are really cheap and work great.
One of my computers has a wifi mouse and it came with a wifi-to-usb adapter. AliExpress sells these for pocket change before shipping.
For just a few bucks more, the Internet is full of wifi-to-ethernet adapters for small money.
