how to take screenshots in photo editing apps if they not allow

In order to answer this question, we're going to need quite a bit more information. For starters, we'd need to know such things as:
- Your operating system and its version (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.9; Ubuntu 22.04 LTS; etc.)
- The resource you are wanting to take a screenshot of (e.g. your own local X11 display; a Web page; a full-screen application; a Microsoft Word document; etc.)
- How you are viewing that resource (e.g. a Web browser; productivity software such as OpenOffice or abiword; etc.)
- What application you are trying to use to take a screenshot of that resource (e.g. Imagemagick;
xwd; The GIMP; etc.) - A detailed description of the problem you are having when trying to take a screenshot
