I've been using Linux since 1994, when I installed Slackware 2.0 on my 486 PC at home as a way of learning about this "UNIX" thing. My first Linux-related job came in 1997 when I started working at a small local ISP, and I then spent almost twenty-five years working in the Internet industry before moving over to the financial sector in 2021. My primary focus has been on Linux and UNIX, but Windows Server has been a feature for much of the time too. Lastly, I'm a big fan of Virtuozzo and OpenVZ, which are Linux container hosting solutions that I've been involved with deploying and administering for a number of years.
