The Full Gabby Petito Policy Body Cam Tells a Different Story Than the Media

For many, the story of the missing (and then found murdered) story of Gabby Petito and her fiance Brian Laundrie has captured the viral attention of the US news media and social media has been all spun up about this story.

What is also interesting is how much the media has misportrayed this story; as if Gabby Petito was a victim of her boyfriend.

If you watch the full police body camera video (below), it is easily seen that Gabby Petito attacked her boyfriend in some manic, very emotional state and the Utah police made the decision to charge Petito with assault after they initially said they they must charge her. However, because this young couple had little money; the officers decided to not charge Petito but insisted they spend one night apart. Petito took the couple's van; and her boyfriend went with police to sleep at some "good will" stay in the local small town.

When you watch this video, you can easily see that the police in Utah were extra nice to Petito and did not charge her with domestic assault, after the first decided they had zero choice but to charge her with assault, at the last minute, out of pity and sympathy.

It is also a very sad, but it's also seems obviously from the police body cam, is that Petito would more-than-likely have been alive today if the Utah police had of charged her with assault because the subsequent cause-and-effect events would have more-than-like been very different than they turned out.

Policy Body Camera of Gabby Petito and Brian Landerie

This is a perfect example of two things:

  1. Media misinformation and spin. The police body cam report tells a totally different story than what is reported in the media; and,

  2. Every action and choice in life has consequences. In this case, the last minute change by Utah police not to charge Petito with domestic assault changed the world timeline which included her murder. We can say, with a good degree of confidence that if police had of charged her with domestic assault, Petito would more-than-likely be alive today.
