Is there actually a button somewhere that I am missing or can't find to save a new topic as a draft? I can only see the Create Topic option but not a Save as Draft option. Sometimes, you type in what you want to ask but not ready to click on the Create Topic button as you are still gathering information.
However, I found out that if I just go and click around any place else in the forum, it does save the new topic that I created as a DRAFT which is what I wanted to do in the first place but just can't find the Save as Draft option
Am I just missing the Save as Draft option/button somewhere?
To my knowledge, there is no such button as, just like you noticed, it will be automatically created when you create or reply to a topic… I other words, you will see a message if you decide to cancel or give up your posting, asking you if you want to save what you did as draft…
This is a reply to myself. First, I am saving this part as a draft. I use the Discard button below the panel where I am typing.
I see three buttons. Discard | Save draft for later | Keep editing
I choose Keep editing so I can come back and add this bit. Now, I will choose Save draft.
Closed Forum, re-opened, and clicked My Posts in the left Menu.
Clicked Drafts (1) button, and my draft comes up as a summary. I assume if I had several drafts, I would get a list.
There are two icons to the right: Edit (the Pencil), and Delete (the Bin). Edit takes me back to the Topic, ready to continue from the point where I asked to Discard.
This time, I choose Reply, and the Post is complete. I can still chose to edit it, but it has been published at this point.
