Hi,
6 months back I asked about the issue I was facing regarding purchasing forum item (one time username change) from bits in this thread.
Purchase from bits
Although it wasn't resolved and I was OK with that since its not that much important for me.
May I ask whether I can actually do this with the bits available in my account.

This info is available on your banking page:
http://www.unix.com/credits.php?do=banking
The info is in a large box in the middle of the page which says "Where to Spend Your Forum Bits"

Yeah. I know that. But when I click the purchase button under the category
Purchase from Forum Member Description of Forum Item Bits
Central Banker Request User Name Change (One Time) 500000
I get message
Sorry, but this user cannot receive any Bits
...you might want to try searching the forums:
I am having 959,181 bits.

OK, thanks.
I think I know the problem (and fixed it). Please try again.
Buying a change for user title appears to work.

You'd have got that for free being a Mod (adviser's get that for free too)...

Yes, and Mods and Advisers can still test the link to see if purchasing works.

Thanks. The link worked. It finally returned to the same page and 500000 bits deducted from my account.
If I purchased it, how do I change my username?
