It looks like something is not right with the light skin theme and the news section: https://community.unix.com/news The skin is light and the font is grey and I don't see anything. You can find screenshot below.

if you like the news feature then change themes 
or better yet you can fork the plug-in and fix it
or fix it and send a PR ….
