Need to learn aix/unix

need road map for learning aix/linux have basic knowledge but need help and useful link or pdfs can any one help

Hello,

Welcome to the forum ! We hope that you enjoy your time here, and find this to be a friendly and helpful place.

For AIX, one of the best places to look on-line for information is actually from IBM themselves They have a very good set of on-line documentation, with specific sections for different versions of AIX. The top-level page for IBM's AIX docs is:

IBM AIX Documentation

IBM's docs cover everything from installation, day-to-day usage of the OS, and system administration at various levels. There's also links to the documentation as PDFs, so you can download and read them off-line if you'd prefer to study it that way.

Also for AIX, there are actually a series of reasonably good tutorial videos on YouTube. If you search YouTube for "aix tutorial" you should see what I mean. Now like every other tech video on YouTube, some are good, and some are...not so good. But you should be able to find something that's at least decent and whose style you like, with any luck.

Hopefully this is enough to get you started. Also one final point: please do note the difference between the terms Linux and UNIX. I assumed here that it's AIX (IBM's version of UNIX) that you're interested in specifically, since your topic title was "Need to learn aix/unix". But you describe it as "aix/linux" in your actual message text. Linux is similar to UNIX in a great many ways, but is not officially part of the UNIX family of operating systems. Having said that, in terms of basic day-to-day skills, what you learn in any UNIX or UNIX-like OS is very often of use in any other similar OS.

Hope this helps !
