I have installed solaris 2.6 on a SunComputer but cannot install any software because it is in read mode only.
How can I change that?

When you say that the software is in "read mode only", can you explain a bit more about what you mean here ? Do you mean that the filesystem is read-only, in that you cannot write any files or change any existing files ?
