The adminteam at The UNIX Forumshave been considering moving the UNIX and*LinuxForums to the clouds - the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. Amazon EC2 is one option to scale the forums, which is a*LAMP application.*

Amazon EC2 allowsus to rent dedicated servers (instances) on-demand to run applications, such as the forums. Then we can run and host on EC2 any Linux application; but unlike classic hosting wherefolks install your application and set up your server for you, Amazon Web Services provide*onlythe infrastructure.

Here are some links about AWS:

Maybe you will elevate your event processing application to the clouds?

This is awesome. I have started to use amazon ec2 recently for the last 3-4 months. I am also using s3 buckets, elbs and have recently put my hands on ami's using elastic block storage.
Sad to see so little activity in this forum.

Hi,
First of all congrats on taking ur steps down the cloud path
I have been using AWS for the past 6 months now. The services are smooth, though i tend to lose network connectivity now and then (this may be my ISPs problem).
Would love to see this flavor on this site and some more activity regarding Cloud on its forums.

Cheers
