Clone Solaris system using cpio backup

I'm sorry I took long to reply.

I admit that I didn't understand what you explained from my first attempt.
But now it makes sense to me.

Now, while I read and learn to understand and implement your steps. I would like to explain the current status of the cloned machine.

It boots automatically and launches CDE normally.
Startup TCL script successfully launches the Application in concern without that previous error. Although, I must test the app on site when the external I/O hardware is connected over Ethernet. I still have a small doubt about it.
I just wonder whether there could be some files that were really restored and disappeared that should concern me with the present status I just explained. Of course, when I test the machine on site, we should confirm that. But based on your advice, I shall do the above steps.

Thank you @MadeInGermany. The machine is booting automatically and logging in to desktop environment normally without any OBP command.

Problem solved. Start a new topic to continue related issues.

One last thing on this topic is that I would suggest that if the application doesn't behave when you test it then try closing the app, unmount both /tmp and /opt, then launch the app again. Does it behave now?

Good luck and, as this topic is now closed, open a new topic if necessary.
