ChatGPT 4.5: Initial Impression on CSS Coding and System Admin Tasks

As a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, I have access to the research preview of ChatGPT 4.5.

Currently, there isn't a feature to share sessions, especially those involving image uploads.​

I've been working on manual Jet Cockpit CSS theme adjustments to optimize the display on my iPhone 12 mini. While previous attempts with earlier ChatGPT versions didn't yield significant results, utilizing ChatGPT 4.5 led to substantial improvements. Its advanced capabilities made it more effective for this coding task compared to prior models. ​

I intended to further optimize the CSS across more pages; however, I received a notification indicating that I have 25 replies remaining before reaching the weekly limit for ChatGPT 4.5 usage. After reaching this limit, I will need to wait a full week for it to reset.

​I'm reserving my remaining GPT-4.5 credits for upcoming coding and system administration tasks. This latest update has proven to be the most effective version yet.

​The advancements in AI tools are truly remarkable. In the near future, these technologies are poised to become integral components of coding and system administration workflows, substantially enhancing productivity.

My OpenAI research quota for ChatGPT 4.5 has expired until March 15, but I managed to tackle two unresolved technical issues before it ran out:

• A complex, persistent CSS clip-path issue

• An annoying Fail2Ban ignoreregex problem

Both had remained unsolved for days, even with ChatGPT 4o’s assistance. However, ChatGPT 4.5 resolved them quickly.

Beyond accuracy, ChatGPT 4.5 was more direct, concise, and less chatty—avoiding unnecessary explanations. It also demonstrated better confidence, standing its ground when correct while acknowledging mistakes without excessive backtracking or fawning (unlike ChatGPT 4o).

For technical workflow collaboration , ChatGPT 4.5 is vastly superior to ChatGPT 4o, based on my first round of working with ChatGPT 4.5.

I only wish my current Plus plan included unlimited access to ChatGPT 4.5!

If ChatGPT 4.5 is this good, then ChatGPT 6.0 and beyond may be revolutionary for technical workflow collaboration.
