Accessing all of the hard drive...

Hi, I just downloaded and installed Ubuntu yesterday. It's the first time I have used it, so bear with me. I think I figured out how to get my sound drivers to work (X-Fi)... I had downloaded some OSS drivers, bout to go test them.

But what I really want to know is... I have 2 hard drive, one (D: ) just dedicated to holding my music and the other (C: ) holds my Windows/Ubuntu stuff... now, when I go into Ubuntu, I've mounted my music drive so I can use it, but I when I try to access the C drive from Ubuntu, I can only access what Ubuntu has created, like a my documents, my pictures, etc. So how can I access the rest of the hard drive?

It depends on how the rest of the drive is configured.

What filesystem(s) are on the rest of the drive?

Do you know how to find out? (Hint: You can view with fdisk, but be careful!)

type sudo fdisk -l and post the output here. maybe your windows drive needs a scandisk if the pc was shutdown incorrectly
