World's strongest economy

Hi all,

It just came to my mind to ask your opinion that which country is the world's strongest economy at the moment and would be there at top for next 10 years.

My understanding of this poll is that we are voting for the most influential economy. How a strong economy is defined is beyond my understanding and reading.

But IMHO, the two really up and coming economies (China and India) are driven by consumers in the west (most notably the US of A). I mean, if all businesses in the US decided to terminate software contracts with Indian companies, that would have an adverse effect on the economy. Same is the case with China and its massive exports...

I'm also making that assumption, since there are other ways of looking at strongest, eg GNP, GDP, NNP, NDP, economic growth rates and so on.
