I have JNI FCE-6460-N fc card , it is detected in OK prompt.....I connected Sun StorEDGE A5000 FC storage.
in OK prompt, PROBE-SCSI-ALL
showing A5000 fc hdds details in ok prompt.....
but in OS level.....not showing the hdd, i tried in DEVFSADM command and FORMAT command not showing A5000 Storage hdds.
also i have Qlogic QLA2310F card not show the external FC hdds

Make sure all the FC links are up.
luxadm -e port
Also check if you are able to see the WWPN using fcinfo

Oops!! you mentioned solaris 9 so my above commands doesnt hold good for solaris 9. You check
prtconf -vp | grep -i ww
cfgadm -al

Once plug out && plug in luns from storage to server connetivity...
- check for multipathing status (dmesg or /var/adm/messages should indicate something related to mpxio)
- going further with npadninth's suggestion, post the output of
cfgadm -aol show_DEV_fcp
and
fcinfo hba-port -l |grep HBA
- check/reinstall HBA drivers
- ping storage array from the host, ping the host from the SAN switch, ping the storage array from the SAN switch (so make sure your FC connectivity is OK)
- check your zoning/LUN masking
To me it looks more of a zoning issue rather than an HBA card issue, considering that you have 2 different cards that behave the same. Plus, the pesky card is being detected when booting, but your main problem is the inaccessibility of the SAN disks, from what I understood...
