what is that 1 in the instruction!~ (please help fast)

Hi all,

make_lofs /.cdrom/<something>/<something> 1

what does this instruction mean?
Note:both the "something" are obviously different .

I would like to know what that 1 means, the rest of the instruction is clear!!

Thanks

AFAIK, this command isn't part of Solaris.

Your right its a part of belenix but the overview of the command must be the same ?

If you could help me , it would be great!!

Also there is a slight change its not lofs , but lofi!!

Please assist if you know!!
Thanks

That would have help if you had given that information in the first place, especially when asking for a fast reply.

Same to what ? There is no such command in Solaris.

There is currently no evidence that a command named make_lofi exist according to google, which is quite good detecting them.
Please provide more material to your question.

Perhaps you are referring to mkisofs and lofiadm?
These commands are part of Solaris and are used to create and/or manipulate bootable ISOs.

Yes i am trying to manuplate belenix iso indeed!!!

Actually am trying to boot off the ram!
There is a particula file that needs to be first copied into /tmp (/tmp being in ram)
then mount it as usr.
but the problem is am not able to do so!

Any advice is much appreciated!
Thanks

Again, why are you failing to provide this kind of information in the first place ?

This is still quite vague.
If you are trying to use the Belenix remastering toolkit, then according to the Belenix site, there is some work to be done for it to be functional again:
Download | BeleniX
If you are doing something on your own, please show the commands you run and the errors or unexpected result you get.
