What does svc:/network/shell:default in solaris10 do?
I can't find it even if I search it.
What documents should I look at to confirm this?

svc: is a Solaris service.
The commands svcs and svcs -a show the active and available services.
svcs -l svc:/network/shell:default should list a manifest, an xml (text) file, that in turn should list a method, usually a start/stop script.
