I am a novice in Unix..Can anyone tel me wat is HP-UX ,Sun solaris..
What r the differences between them??
I know I am working in HP-UX box.. Want to know all these details
HP-UX is running only on dedicated hardware, like PA-RISC and Itanium, while Solaris has version for PC (including x64).
As far as I know, HP-UX is based on System V and Solaris on System V and BSD.
Both are great operating systems.
