Warm modem

I have a HugesNet HT 3000W modem.

It is pretty warm at the top.

Is that normal?

I found HughesNet support site with this post:

It seems to suggest that "too hot to touch" may be normal. Also that your modem may have a diagnostic IP that you can reach locally (and Hughes support can access remotely).

HT2000W stands for Hot 2000 Watts?

Put your coffee cup on it, so the energy is not fully wasted!
