Wanted: Feedback on TUI (2)

Hello everyone

It just so happend that TUI was rejected from GNU for the moment, with one of the reasons beeing that additional user feedback was required.

So, if you like scripting, bash in specific, please have a try and report your feedback, to help me find all issues to fix, and as i assume, to give a rough idea of 'if'/'how many' users use it.

However, this time i'd like to specify the feedback wanted.

  • What OS/Distro are you installing it onto?
  • Did the installlation work well?
  • Did the uninstallation work well?
  • Does tuirc raise any error messages other than the 'initial missing user config' one?
  • Do the tuirc samples give a good idea to get started?
  • Additional thoughts? (if the above is provided)
  • But most important, do you like it / might/will you use it? (even just when it becomes GNU)

If it worked so far, and if you like it and have the skill, time and mood for this:

  • Could you think of security issues, and if so: What command, under what circumstances?
  • Any desires or otherwise missing parts for the info tui file / tuirc html ? (if not using 'make install-all', only 'info' will be accepted)
  • Or if some sections are not easy to understand or otherwise unclear, which ones?

Project homepage: Text User Interface, framework for scripts - Summary [Savannah]
GIT: git clone tui.git - Unnamed repository; edit this file 'description' to name the repository. (@ MOD :: Gee, seriously?? - disabled 'parse urls', removed \[ url = yy ] and still get this, i got to dig into that after sleep --- it doesnt do that with the Homepage link just above it...)
Download: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/tui.git/snapshot/tui-master.tar.gz

Once downloaded, extracted and changed to dir:

./configure --prefix=~/local
make && make install-all

Thank you in advance!

EDIT:
To make an easy option as well, simply 'thank you' this post to state that you're using TUI.
