in unixware 7x only root user login & other user not login .
message giving permission denied
Whats the contents of /var/log/messages
Is there an /etc/nologin ? Not sure if that's how it's done on Unixware.
How are you connecting? telnet? ssh? rlogin? or what method?
What does the login prompt look like?
What did you type?
What is the exact and complete response?
Have you tried checking that the password file is ok using commands "pwck" and "grpck".
