Whenever i am trying to telnet to server i am getting frequent error
Authorized Login: prtsrc's Password:
/dev/pts/171: Password read timed out -- possible noise on port
when i am rerunning the same it is working fine

How is the network running? Is you server connected via a switch or hub? Does the issue only occur when connecting via /dev/pts/171?
Thread is over a year old, (12-02-07).. 
Hope they got it figured out by now.
