Upgrade of release version

Hi All,

I got a task to upgrade release version of Solaris-9. I need to upgrade from Solaris 9 (Update 7) to Solaris 9 (Update 9) . My current config is -

root@tsdpt01:/# uname -a
SunOS tsdpt01 5.9 Generic_118558-06 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240
root@tsdpt01:/# cat /etc/release
                        Solaris 9 9/04 s9s_u7wos_09 SPARC
Copyright 2004 Sun Microsystems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Use is subject to license terms.
                             Assembled 29 June 2004
root@tsdpt01:/#

My doubt is, do I need to install Solaris-9 recommended patch cluster or need to upgrade OS with Solaris-9, update-9 DVD ?
Please clarify.

Thanks

you'll need to upgrade with newer release (from dvd or network). you can also use "liveupgrade" for a minimum of downtime...

DukeNuke2, thanks for replying.
I have all file-systems under Veritas Volume Manager, so would not be able to use Liveupgrade.
I believe Solaris-9 OS DVD/iso is not available for download now. Though opened a case with oracle, waiting for them to reply.
