I am Unable to view files in a particular directory under /opt. But, when I reboot the server, I am able to view the files.. Its happening daily. Do u 've n e answers/suggestions.

Without more information, a guess:
Either a privileged app or user is resetting the protections on the directory.
Try using inotifywatch to see who/what is changing the protections on that directory.
What error do you get when trying to view files?
