hi All,

I require your help and suggestion in this. I have a solaris 10 (guest) installed on a vmware and my host OS is windows 2003 server. i am trying to conenct to the solaris 10 from my local Pc through putty, but unable to connect. please advice what setup or prerequitsites are required to conenct to vmware before i can connect to it. your responcse on this is very much appreciated.

Please advice if any details is required in this regard.

Your IP addresses should be in the same subnet maybe ? :o
Why don't you use Vbox instead and use your solaris system directly running on your PC? :stuck_out_tongue:

Im running Solaris in my virtualbox in Windows Vista. I set the ip as the same subnet and used he similar gateway as to of my wireless network on windows. But Im unable to connect to it (neither ssh, ping to gw or ping from cmd prompt works). Getting Destination host unreachable.. ANy help as well. :frowning:

the VM guest and host have the IP in the same subnet. then also unable to connect to the Solaris Vmware guest from windows hiost machine. Please advice
