unable to connect remote server using ssh

i am unable to connect remote server using ssh but i am able to ping the server
ssh service is running.

Can you post the error you are getting while attempt to connect the server.

Are you using a user account or the root account?

May be the firewall allows icmp and blocks ssh to that server?

there is no error but the session is getting disconnected continuously when i try to reconnect .
even if i connect somehow, session gets disconnected after 2-3 minutes.

Check your network. Try setting up a tcpdump while the session is active.
