What is the difference between Soft FILE size

Thank you.
In that document there is no "Soft FILE size" or "file" parameter.
In different places there are different names (for exemple in smitty or when running ulimit).
That's why I'm confused.

Then Soft FILE size" and "file" are the same parameter?
