I am working on an AIX 6.1 system with Kerberos 1.5.0.8.
I am attempting to execute the kinit command but after I execute the command and put in a password I get the following error message:
Unable to obtain initial credentials
Status 0x96c73a18 - Preauthentication failed.
I have found some info about the key in the key table is incorrect and possibly regenerate the key table and/or make sure using the correct principle name, the Active Directory user name, and path.
Command used is
/usr/krb5/bin/kinit ra016301@am.mds.honda.com
Appreciate any help with this issue.
I have now gotten past the Unable to obtain initial credentials issue by issuing the following command:
/usr/krb5/bin/kinit aixldap@AM.MDS.HONDA.COM
and I get a ticket by issuing the following command:
/usr/krb5/bin/klist
