Hi All,

When i monitored pl find the below output
Cpu(s): 0.1%us, 98.4%sy, 0.0%ni, 1.5%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
the time spent on kernel mode is 98 % and also idle time is around 1.5 %...
Could any one pl tell me what shall be root cause for this issue...the RHEL kernel version is

You have given almost no information regarding the system's state other than the CPU usage was high.
That is like asking why your leg hurt yesterday. We have no way of knowing base solely on high CPU usage.
Dear Mark,
pl let me know what you are expecting....i cant understand your question,.
In order to obtain help, please provide the following commands' results
uname -a
cat /proc/meminfo
cat /proc/cpuinfo

Jeg,
What am I expecting? Nothing.
You asked a question, that is akin to sending an email to a room full of doctors that says "My leg hurts. Why?"
You have provided no details as to the flavor of Linux, the kernel version, any errors that were seen in the logs, what software it was running, how long it was running, and any system specifications.
So... how's your leg?
