All thanks for the help in advance. I'm current have my syslog server built on RHEL5.7. I'm wondering how to I have the syslog messages categorized by hostname? Is that an option I can add to the syslog.conf?
create a cronjob with script to read that fine and create a files with hostnames
mention the script excution period in cron
