sys-unconfig keeps hostname

Hi,
I performed a sys-unconfig on a solaris 10 server twice and it did not ask for a new hostname. I did a fresh install. most of the time I have experienced that it asks for a new hostname. what happened?
I know I could have edited some files but I prefer not to.

thanks in advance,

~jv

could it be, that you used a jumpstart server for your installation? i had the same funny issue, disconnect the network cable while using "sys-unconfig". another thing i could think about is a dhcp server who provides names for the clients...

regards pressy

Yes, it could definitely be that. If the system manages to find a sysidconfig or equivalent it will automatically take the values supplied from that source whether you want it to or not.

that was it....thanks
