The server is not booting in single user mode normally , but it works with boot from cdrom . Please let me know whether i can recover this server. I would like to share more information when you ask.

Thanks in advance

Hi have you solved your problem?

please provide the error message, when you try to boot and failed.

A few questions I'm afraid.

  • What else have you tried when you are booted single-user from CD?
  • Can you go to single user from disk?
  • Do you have all the disks available or has one failed?
  • Are you sure it is just corruption? I would expect it to prompt for an fsck to recover.

Sorry i don't have a suggestion just yet.
