192.168.1.219 is alive

  1. ) lpadmin -p drucker2 -s 192.168.1.219:515
  2. ) enable drucker2
message from system enable: drucker2: not a shell builtin
  3. ) # accept drucker2
Warnung: drucker2 is remote, accept has no meaning.

I have make a Ascii-file with 20 character called test

  1. lp -d drucker2 ./test
    messages from system
    Anforderungs-ID: drucker2-35 (1 Datei)

but it doesn't printing.

I have installed the network printer over windows.
And it is printing.

What is my problem. How can i look where is the problem.

Perhaps you need to install the driver for in Solaris for the printer model? Did you check that out?

the point 2.) from your first post CAN'T be correct! the return value clearly states that you used a wrong commando!

Hi,
It was only a problem with the driver.

I have install an old printer called hp 6127, have take the driver from driver list.

but i want/must install then samsung clp 310n.
I only want print letters, no graphics.
the list of printers in print manager are old printers.
Can i get update printers files from solaris site ?
Maybe there is a new driver for this.
I have look on the site.
But i didn't found.
I have installed last patches, but no printer driver. It is a network printer.
How do other peoples.

I am from Germany, so you can't answer in german.
(DukeNuke2 perhaps)

Thanks for all help.

forum language is english... so all answers have to be in english or they will be deleted! i don't know the samsung printer... but i don't think there are special solaris drivers for this. if the printer don't speak standard languages it might not work...

according to this webpage the printer only talks a samsung specific language. and there is no solaris driver on the webpage.
