[SOLVED] HP UX SERVER IP ADDRESS

I am moving an HP UX 9000 server to a new subnet. How do I change the server's IP address??

Many thanks in advance

i don't know hp-ux but would assume that you have to edit the /etc/hosts file for the IP change and maybe the /etc/netmasks if you need to set another netmask for the new IP.
and google is telling this:
IT Resource Center forums - How to Change IP address on HP-UX 9000

many thanks for your help

set_parms is the best way to do it. Thanks again

Before changing, make copies of:

/etc/hosts
/etc/rc.config.d/netconf

Then diff the files after the change but before rebooting. This is because for example a fully qualified host name (for sendmail) may disappear from /etc/hosts.
