what is the name of the solaris installer? (for both x86 and sparc architecture)
In linux it is "anaconda".
Solaris installer
thats it...i thought there must be some unique (nick) name......anyway thanks for the clarification....
No, that's only the installer for Red Hat/Fedora. For Ubuntu, it's Ubiquity, for Debian it's Debian-Installer, and for (open)SuSE it's YaST
I dont sure if it has a spec name so this is solaris os installer at least i know such as..
Thats true..i am using Red hat linux only..thats why i mentioned in a general term "linux". I have a interview by the end of this week, for linux/solaris admin. Thats why i am collecting all these informations.
Thanks for your replies
On the other hand, OpenSolaris installer was given a nickname. It's "caiman" and guess what, the caiman is a natural anaconda's predator (although the other way around happens too)
thanks for your information
