Hi friends
I have a problem in installing solaris 9 in a ULTRA Enterprise 1 machine.
The first cd runs without any problem and the web start installation also working. When it comes to second disc (the installation cd), it geting rejected from cd drive so can't continue the installatinon. any help please..

try to boot from the second cd... you don't need the web start cd for installation.
from the ok prompt, do a reset-all. Load your cd into the system and issue boot cdrom. If problem persists, post the error message that you see on the console
hi.. now the cd tray does not close at all. whenever i close it with a cd or without , it keeps on comming out. I cant understand whats going on here.
is there a command that i can give to forefully keep the cd tray in. Why this cd tray is keep on comming out.
Can you probe the cdrom drive from the ok prompt?
Sounds weird... maybe the drive is faulty?? 
maybe get it replaced first, then cont with your installation. To confirm the issue, re-seat the cables internally within the h/w and check again if the drive opens automatically again, if yes, then replace the cd/dvd drive first.
Still the problem remains. I saw in some web sites there are some instructions in burning the solaris software to cds . I use roxio 10 disc copier to burn the downloaded iso files. I don't know whether these burned cd s can be read by the old cd drive in ultra machine. Can somebody provide any clue ...

Use Nero Burner.. simple and it works.. I burnt many iso files using that and no issues booting them up
