Solaris 11 and OpenSolaris both hang at Configuring Devices

Hi, Any help would be appreciated, when I attempt to install either OpenSolaris or Solaris 11 the install hangs right after the copyright where normally it would be "configuring devices" . If it is SOL 11 it just hangs if it is OpenSolaris it starts spitting out the following:

WARNING: hubdi: cannot attach /pci@0,0/pci1458,5004@1a,2/hub@1

it repeats this in a never ending cycle. Now if I install SOL 10 it does the same thing but only displays it once and then installs. Does anyone have an idea what this is. I have 8 2TB hard drives across 4 controllers, it's a Gygabyte UD Mobo, 2.4 core2 quad, 8 gigs of ram, nvidia 9800 GT, This machine also has a number of OS's that it boots. The controller that the install is going to is a slave PATA/SATA IDE. I redid the partitions from inside SOL10 so I know they are Solaris friendly, fdisk reports no boundary violations. Admittedly I am new to this so I apologize for my ignorance.

Any help with this would be great, I wanted to check these out, outside of a VM, and give the real deal a try.

thanks --jerry
