smf repository not running

Hi All,

I have a Solaris server which runs version 10

After installing the patch , i thought of doing a recongiuration reboot

But it failed saying "smf repository not running"

what could be the issue.

Eventually, did the system reboot?
You did a reboot -- -r OR tried init 6 ?

Use /lib/svc/bin/restore_repository to restore a good copy of the SMF repository. Probably it got corrupted ...

Hi incredible,

after installation it automatically got rebooted in sinfgle user mode.

and is there any way to make it up , bcos now the server is down and i could not do init 6 also.

Since its under single user mode now, perform fsck on all your filesystems untill corrupt blocks/errors are corrected.
After doing so, perform a init 0 and then from the ok> prompt, issue boot command. Try it first and let us know the outcome
