smc won't run on a regular user

Hi All,

I'm getting this all the time with a regular user (after I do su - and smc):

It appears you are attempting to run the graphical
Solaris Management Console from a terminal which does
not have a suitable 'DISPLAY' environment. Please check
your 'DISPLAY' settings and that the user identity of
this terminal has access to the X server of this display.

So I have to login as root to be able to run smc on the terminal console.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance,
itik

I assume that you run the smc with regular user from telnet or ssh and with root from console?

u can not run smc in remote systems.

hmm...if he is running from remote site he could just export the display to x-windows or whatever running in his pc, no?

No, I'm running directly on a GUI.

No, I'm running directly on a CDE/GUI.
