SMC require a password

Launching for the first time Solaris Management Console.
Management Tools - This Computer - System Status - System Information. A window with info appear:

In the right side:
Solaris Management Console Server: 127.0.0.1 User Name: Root (Already written. And under it Password: (need typing). There is no password for root, when I enter the system I just typing root without pass.

Probably it is impossible simply launch SMC. Perhaps additional setup for this utility is required or SMC is not working under root?

I think you're referring to Sun Management Center?
Anyway, if this system is already up and running, I would rather ask some other sysadmins if they new the password. If password is incorrect means its incorrect. Nothing you can do, unless you can get a downtime to recover the root's password.. If you're unable to login at all, you wont be able to make any changes within the system
