system: Fedora14 on vmware
the login screen resolution is 1024768, but after login the resolution is 800600. I want to set the login screen resolution as 800*600 too. How to do this?

Have you tried running:
system-config-display
If that does not work you can change display settings in xorg.cong.
Since Fedora 10, you need to create the file by hand. Have a look here for more on the issue: Fedora - How To Create xorg.conf
system-config-display not found.
I created and configured xorg.conf file, then it worked.
