I want to know what is the scope and job status of shell Programming and scripting. Does it have any attractive jobs?
Usually shell scripting is just a part of skills/tasks a SysAdmin or dbAdmin should be able to do. I do not know of a job where you just do plain scripting and nothing else.
This thread is actually a more suitable post for "What's on your mind" since it does not have any technical content. Moving it - redirection mark will vanish in 1 week.

Or as I'd put it: shell scripting may be involved in your job, and you can use it to improve or simplify your job, but it probably won't be your job.
