Run Redhat in a cdroom?

Im a stranger to Linux.Im running WinXP. But I want to learn Redhat. Can we run an OS on a CD instead of on a harddisk?

I advise you to use one of live CD distros of linux.
For example :
Knoppix,Mepis,Slax,Damn Small;
These are better than redhat in any way;
