regarding sendmail

Hi,

Is it possible to send mail from HP-UX server to internet mail addresses(like gmail or hotmail) thro' sendmail or elm options. If yes, kindly guide the steps and give the syntax.

Hi there,
Yes it is possible, you need to provide your mail gateway to sendmail on that hpux with the DS macro (smarthost) in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf, here's an example

DS[192.168.1.1] or 
DSmygateway.example.com
