random RAM question

Random question.

32 bit windows can't address more the 4 gb of RAM, right.
So if you have 4gb of normal RAM and 1 gb graphics card window only find 3gb of normal ram + your graphics card
following on from this
If you where to put 2 graphics card with 2gb of ram on them each, what would windows do?

If you put 2 1GB graphics cards in your computer and run a 32 bit version of XP, your system can only use about 2 GB of physical memory. A lot of vendors are selling systems with 4GB of memory, 2 powerful graphics card, and 32 bit XP. Since memory is now so cheap, I don't really see a problem with this. When/If you upgrade to to a 64 bit OS, you can use all of the memory.

Vista needs more memory than XP does (especially if you run Aero on Vista), and so that "extra" 2 GB that suddenly pops into existence is not a bad thing.

I get that but that's not the point, what happens if you have 2x2GB graphics cards and run 32bit. Then you would you have 4GB of graphic card and 0GB of physical memory. or would windows not let this happen?

My guess is that you could not configure the second card.

You would get a very funny errormessage.
The Graphics cards will start i safe mode.
So they will only give yoy 16 different colours.
