can anyone explain me the RAID concepts clearly. I studied some book bt i didnt get any clear idea.
Raid levels include:
RAID 0 (striping)
RAID 0 (concatenation)
RAID 1 (mirroring)
RAID 0+1 (mirrored stripes)
RAID 1+0 (striped mirrors)
RAID 3 (striping with dedicated parity)
RAID 5 (striping with distributed parity)
RAID 2 Hamming code ECC proprietary RAID
RAID 4 Independent data disks with shared parity disk
How about RAID 6 ?
i got this from a storage fundamental slide, mb other Raids are advantaged
