Where can i find solid information about programming in Perl?

Learn Perl. Suggest you buy the first two books in the Essentials list at the very least (IMO).

Almost everything about Perl is in the man pages. Start with "man perl" and follow the instructions there. If you want more tutorial-like instructions, start with Learning Perl, then go to the man pages.
