What is the hardware? Sparc or x86? What model?

Have you updated the boot code at all?

What FC switch is at the other end?

Solaris 10. sparc

Not server is physically migrated and reconfigured with

Reboot -- -rv -mverbose

Card: Qle 8142
Switch : brocade

So how did you install it? Boot code, driver, configuration, etc?

I have dealt the QLogic for many years and it is serious kit which is extremely well supported.

The documentation here is comprehensive but generate a support ticket on this website if you have questions.

card is sun/oracle OEM, so qlogic is not supporting.

already downloaded and installed latest SunWqlcnic from support.oracle.com and it's loaded in modinfo through forceload on /etc/system.
