Problems installing Solaris 10

I just built my new computer with a q6600 quad core, 4 gig ram, Nvidia vidoo card but when I try to install the latest Solaris 10 on it the keyboard is not being detected when the installation starts so I'm unable to go complete the installation.

First I tried a USB keyboard and it didn't work, then I tried an old keyboard with the old keyboard connection and still it wasn't detected. I played around with the BIOS but could find anything useful.

I had ubuntu intalled on this computer before and both keyboards work fine. I also ran the Sun compadibility software and it determined my computer is pretty much compadible.

So wondering if you guys ran into same problem, or know how to fix it. Thanks.

Does it fail to detect the keyboard before as well as after starting X ?

It's not unknown for the graphical installation to fail to detect a keyboard or mouse.

I'm not sure what you mean by "starting x" but actually the keyboard works in the very beginning where upon booting from dvd, you have an option to choose Solaris 10 or something else. Then I get a blue dos type of screen to choose the language, and that's when the keyboard stops working.
