I have the following strange problem with my network printer Hp Laser jet 4250n working with Hp9000 rp3410 Servers , it prints well under Microsoft windows operation system ,,, But under Hp Unix 11.1 applications such as text editor the printing font is very small (size 4) ;
one solution i found that when printing the file from outside
"by right clicking on the file name and choosing print option"
the file is printed iwith larger font "size 8"!!!
pls; Help me to adjust this dummy printer ?!!!!
Did you use sam or the shell in defining the printer? I have had better luck using commands inplace of sam. You can find what printer models are supported by entering 'addqueue -l'. If yours isn't in the list you will need to
find a model that works for you.
Why use dummy when it can be a network printer, the model exists...I installed 3 weeks ago a CM6040 color on HPUX 11.11...
Check what you have:
ant:/home/vbe/script $ swlist -l fileset |grep Jet
